DEPOT DE LA GUERRE

handcrafted terrains for miniature wargames

"The first shot is for the Devil, the second for God, and only the third is for the King." Napoleon Bonaparte

Anyone who ever played Avallon Hill’s (Hasbro now ?) Squad Leader, must have taken (or tried to take) the famous hill 621. The third dimension gives a more realistic idea of the task…

The terrain scale is 1/1000th. The hexagones measure 4cm from side to side(40m), which gives enough room for miniatures. The height of the terrain elements is calculated to respect the differences of elevation level. The houses are slightly oversized.

A Hill 621 close up. The miniatures are 6 mm Heroics and Ross’s.

"Make it tough for the enemy to get in, and you won’t be able to get out." Murphys military laws

Each map is 40cm wide and 110.4cm long, and is made of two boards (40cmX55.2cm), and provided with a storage box. The whole set weighs about 8 kg. With that hexagonal system, I can reproduce any kind of map.

A 1/4000th scale representation of Panzerblitz map number 2. This scale fits very well with hexagones.
