"Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat." Sun Tzu |
A 4000th scale terrain is fine with most of strategic rules, like spearhead... Since 1cm equals 40 meters, a single 3cm wide stand will figur the space occupied by a napoleonic "bataillon" (90 to 120 meters), or a modern platoon with one 3cm wide stand (30m). With a standard set (120cmx120cm), you have a 4.8km x 4.8km battlefield.
On these pictures, you can see different scales of miniatures : 2mm Irregular napoleonic (sorry, still unpainted), and 6mm Heroics & Ross.
A miniature stand delineates the space occupied by the unit. This is what is taken into account when measuring, etc . The miniatures scale doesn’t interfere in the calculations, and only plays a visual effect role. All miniature scales may be used without any problem.
